For Las Vegas resident and prominent foot and ankle surgeon Thomman M. Kuruvilla, DPM, BS, it wasn't just one reason he chose to purchase a home in ONE Lifestyle Condominiums™ Las Vegas. It was many.

His new home, situated on the ninth floor of Tower One, spans 1,490 square feet and is a perfect fit for him and his wife Smitha Sunny and their baby, Madelyn. The expansive balconies originally caught his eye, but the development's close proximity to the Strip, McCarran International Airport, I-15 and 215 sealed the deal.

"Because I am on call at hospitals around the city, location was extremely important to me," Kuruvilla said. "Many new residents to Las Vegas aren't aware of the reverse traffic to the other side of town via I-15 and 215. For me, living at ONE and getting to hospitals is easy. The south Strip is also the next great growth area, and I wanted to be a part of it."

Situated at Las Vegas Boulevard South near Windmill, Kuruvilla believes ONE is an ideal location for doctors to live. Many other local high-rises don't have the prime highway access that this development boasts. He said that once he moves in, it will be an easy commute to his practice, Southern Nevada Foot and Ankle at 3017 W. Charleston.

Another part of Kuruvilla's attraction to ONE was the high-rise itself. He said the idea of living at a hotel-condo hybrid development without tourists was appealing to him. He also points to the numerous amenities that ONE offers. "Every amenity you want is available without the hassle of the Strip," he noted.

The landscaping and outdoor features are ideal. The lush landscaping, along with the numerous jogging trails and pools, appealed to him and his athletic lifestyle. ONE's fitness center, featuring extensive cardiovascular equipment and free weights, was another attraction. Among other key selling points to him were the 24-hour security and the valet service for residents, which is incorporated into each home's virtual HOA unit. The surgeon can simply log onto the HOA system and enter in what time he wants his car, as well as other options.

Kuruvilla also enjoyed the vast selection of options for the interiors of the homes. For their two-bedroom home, they selected the rich dark cherry wood cabinets in the kitchen with wood flooring, a mini wine cellar and stainless steel appliances.

"Being able to work with the sales team and view my options at the design center helped to get a feel for what my new home will look like," he said. "I was able to work with them and create my ideal unit."

A seasoned condo owner, Kuruvilla has owned properties in both New York and Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., so he knew what to expect when purchasing a luxury condominium in Las Vegas. He said he has been very pleased with the process and the dedication of the developers, AmLand Development and the international B.S.R. Group.
